4 Resources To Help You Find Career Opportunities In 2024

Reading Time: 2 minutes

Welcome to My Jamaican Vignettes. How’s your 2024 going? Are you crushing those core goals or have you hit that point where you feel like you’re losing steam. If switching jobs or entering a new career or if you’re new to the workforce today I’m sharing four resources that can help you level up your career. These are jobs boards as well resume building offerings that can really boost your job search or career transition in 2024.

Four Career Resources To Find Opportunities in 2024

Job Boards

CaribbeanJobs.com

First up is a tried and true job board and that’s CaribbeanJobs.com. Don’t sleep on what they have to offer. I tried to download their app to test it out before writing this blog post but the app isn’t compatible with my phone. Go ahead and use the web version there are new jobs across industries and across.

No Visa Jobs

This is a newer resource that I found out about on LinkedIn last year and it launched in late 2023. If you sign up for No Visa Jobs newsletter you’ll get weekly remote work opportunities in your inbox. A small drawback is that most of the opportunities so far are in tech. But it is worth signing up for.

Resume Writing and LinkedIn Profile Optimisations

The Career Doc

I used The Career Doc services in November 2023 to revamp my resume and help optimize my LinkedIn profile and I highly recommend them. To start go for the resume rewrite service and you’ll get a clean and polished resume that’s fit for today’s tough job market.

LinkedIn Premium

Don’t pay full price for this. Get the free trial or use coupon codes for discounts but if you’re looking to change jobs or make a significant career transition then the LinkedIn Premium career option is worth it. You’ll have access to quick courses to upskill plus there are interview prep sections that can be useful to helping ace your interviews and make a great first impression.

The job market is tough right now but I hope these resources can help guide you and set you up for success.

You may have noticed that we missed last week’s promised guest post but don’t worry it simply got pushed to February.

I’ll be back next week to share Valentine’s Day reading recommendations. It’s not a TBR because I’m embracing my mood reading in 2024. But if you’re curious about black romance books then I’ll have a list of recommendations for you next Sunday.

Let’s have a chat though. Let me know if a career shakeup is on your 2024 bingo card. And tell me if you’ve used any of the resources I’ve shared.

Good luck!
