MJV Bookish Thoughts: October 2022 Reading Wrap-Up
October 2022 was my best reading month so far for the year. I read six books. Here are my mini reviews for each book – my October 2022 reading wrap-up.
October 2022 Reading Wrap-Up
The first book I completed in October was Body and Soul Food (Books and Biscuits Mystery #1) by Abby Collette. I gave this cosy mystery book three-stars. This took a while for me to get into and I think I started reading in September and then I had to carry it over to October but I finally managed to finish it. Not sure I will continue with the series.
The second book I completed was a Perveen Mistry novel, this is book two in the series, I loved this so much that I followed by reading book three immediately after. I rated this book four-stars and this is my favourite book series at the moment.
I rated The Bombay Prince four-stars, it may even be four and a half stars, I enjoyed this so much and it was first of the Perveen Mistry books that wasn’t about purdah. I preordered book four and I can’t wait to get my hands on it in summer 2023.
Anchored Hearts was better than book one in the Key to Love series. It was a second change romance and I liked the relationship in this book much better than the first book. Three-stars.
I ready my first Vivian Conroy book years ago and I enjoyed her writing style so when I saw that she had a new historical mystery series out I decided to by the e-book. This was a quick, fun mystery with a few twists. I rated this three-stars and I preordered book two in the Miss Ashford Investigates series.
The Many Dates of Indigo was a fun read but I don’t feel as if it was a romance. I gave it three-stars and I will dedicate next week’s blog post to a full review.
And that was my reading month for October 2022. It was mix of good books and great books.
How was your reading month for October 2022? Did you find any new favourites?
Until next week, happy reading!
