Romance Books Recommendations for Valentine’s Day 2025

Valentine’s Day is on Friday this year so whether you are single, married or in a romance of your own, you can carve out some time during the weekend to dive into a romance book. This isn’t a long list just a recommendation of some of the books I read recently and loved.

Contemporary Romance

Losing Sight by Tati Richardson is a romantic comedy and is book one in new series and comes out right in time for Valentine’s Day on 11 February 2025. I read an e-ARC and it was such a fun read that I pre-ordered a paperback copy. This will be one that I re-read later this year. Now while I have it listed as a contemporary romance there are hints of magic in this one. I highly recommend.

The Secret to a Southern Wedding by Synithia Williams is one of those romance novels that mixes family drama and small town. It is also book one in a series so if you love this one, you get to revisit the community of Peachtree Cove.

Only For The Week by Natasha Bishop is amazing. My only regret is not getting a physical copy with the original indie published cover. But this has been traditionally re-released and you can grab a copy now. This is romance set at a destination wedding in Mexico. Sexy and fun.

Historical Romance

If you are new to historical romance, start with Beverly Jenkins and read the Le Veq family series books. I’ve read books one and two, Through the Storm and Winds of the Storm. Book three is on my reading list for later this year. You will be blown away.

Do you read romance books? Let me know if you’ve read any of the books on the list or intend to.

See you next Sunday.

Thanks for reading.

I’m intrigued by Only For The Week. Seems like a cool fling type story. Also, Winds of the Storm’s cover is very provocative and that alone makes me want to read it.

Kimmi, I know which book to give to read, now I need physical copies to share with you. I see a bookstore date in our future.
