Let’s talk about solarpunk stories.

Do you love sci-fi and speculative fiction but dislike the doom and gloom of dystopian novels?

If you answered yes, then here is an amazing new sub-genre to dive into. Solarpunk stories.

The solarpunk is a movement in speculative fiction, art, and fashion that seeks to answer: what does a sustainable civilization look like, and how can we get there?

In fiction, solarpunk stories imagines what the future that could be, based on current-age technology. The solarpunk vision of society is powered by green energy.

Therefore, this imagined culture is founded on radical inclusiveness, unity-in-diversity, free cooperation, participatory democracy, and personal self-realisation.

I am also new to this sub-genre but I am excited about the possibilities of optimistic future. Solarpunk stories are exciting.

And, I am currently making my way through Ecopunk! I enjoy reading anthologies but I  tend to read them slowly, no more than one story per day.

    Cool! I already have two of these three & they are really fun! Great variety of stories & ideas about the future.

    I recently read “Summer Wings” by April Tremblay. It’s a short book, and it’s got a great Solarpunk & vegetarian vibe as well. It’s on Kindle.
